I don't think they're available yet are they? I thought they were still refining them due to a severe loss of power around 4000 - 4500 rpm (I think...). Check out KRCperformance.com, the numbers look pretty impressive, I think I'll pick them up this summer...

I talked with them ((KRC)and they said the problem was "There truck" and that they were available, maybe I misunderstood but I think it was Marty I spoke to said they are great but I wanted a consumer opinion not a shop employee or tech, I got that from Marty already, he was helpful and patient and who knows I could be the first to state results because I can't find thread on the 206's and might order this week.

The cams are great. Ive been running them for about 2 months now and no problems exept some erratic stalling. Pulls really strong past 2500rom and keeps pulling to the rev limiter.
The problem with my truck is believed to be with the stock pcm. Id recommend the cams for anyone wanting more power higher in the rpms.

Hey Steve, are you saying that a 206 user needs to have a PCM flash to run these cams or is it your truck?

now what i hear about the 218 cams is that you have to have a flash for them. But i feel my truck would definately benefit from a PCM flash. I just wish leach or B&G would flash 2001 4.7 pcms.

You and me both, I wish they could get the pcm upgrades out for us too, but I guess they are having problems getting the information and tables. Not really their fault. I mean, if they don't want to give you what you need, what can ya do!! B&G makes a flash for the 2001+s I thought, but I don't know how good they are.

I think the 218 needs a high stall converter too... says it's race only, I wonder how streetable it actually is??

I'm planning on the 206's this summer as well, hopefully around May, funds permitting.

The 218's are described as power from around 3500+ if I remember correctly? And it says up to 6800....yeah my truck doesn't rev anywhere near that, so I will stick with my 206's :)

Steve, what is causing your eratic stalling? Did it do this before the 206's were installed? Are 206's going to effect emmisions? Will it pass the test? I have 200HO's on the way (today they will be here) and HO intake. I am considering ordering 206's IF ITS NO DOUBT WORTH IT and its trouble free,,,no erratic stalling or failing emmisions. Being that the 200s will not cause either I may stick with them. And Mike, Marty @ KRC said B&G Chrysler does a fine PCM flash, maybe the worms are now gone.

These 206 cams must be H.O. reground
cams. Otherwise why would you need lash
caps. Not that it's a bad thing. Does anybody
know for sure.

Not sure about the stalling. Only does it every once so often while coasting to a stop. It might have to do with a change in the vacume pressure. As far as emissions i couldnt tell you, theres no testing done here in FL so I dont worry about it. I think its worth it, keeping in mind you should have all the basic mods done before you get the cams. A PCM flash is pretty much essential in order to feel the full pwoer of the cams.

That's what I was wondering--- lash caps = regrind with Ford and other overhead cam setups. Don't ya think this si the same deal?

The KRC cams are an all new grind on a blank core that's being done by an outside cam manufacturer specifically to Marty's specs.

The Hughes cams are re-ground stockers. That means you have to supply cores, and then the installation is up to you to get it right.

Marty's kit is just that. A kit where the valve springs, the lash caps, and everything is included with instructions and the chain spreader tool. It's a pretty nice value versus the Hughes kits....

They are used on reground cams.

I have a stock cam and sometimes stall. If I am spinnin out in the mud and I rev high I think I hit the rev limiter and it forces a stall.
