I read that you need a special wrench for the oil sending unit on a 1995 5.2 . Can someone explain further.Type of wrench cost etc. thanks

Most oil sending units "tools" are a 3/8" drive socket made for the aplication. They fit the sending unit on the outside case so to apply even pressure when installing. I have an old one for Datsun and one for Ford. About 26 years old.
A pair of channel locks will work if you are carefull.
