First, I wanna say thanks for all the info- I'm
thinking about making "the swap", and this is the kinda stuff i need to know.

So, I called the Mopar performance tech line today, and they told me the only reason you can't have A/C on the 380/360 is that the head has no bosses for it. Do you think this guy knows what he is talking about? The reason I ask is that he failed to mention that the intake manifold won't clear the compressor(I happen to know) and he didn't seem very confident in his answer. Eddlebrock makes an intake with an offset thermostat that will work (prolly sacrifice some performance). I live in AL and I gotta have air. I can tap the head for the compressor, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried this or can think of any potential problems. My main concern is keeping the motor cool. Any comments-thoughts-suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edelbrock does not make any manifolds (that I know of) that will fit a Magnum motor. Are you sure the one you have in mind isn't intended for the older, LA small blocks?

No I'm not sure, but I'll check- and thanks for pointing that out! Do you know what kind of setup is used for A/C in the rams with 360 mags?

Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge

360 Magnum Rams use the stock "kegger" manifold, which can't be adapted to use a carb. Here's a phone number for you:

1-800-362-3569

It's the MOPAR magnum tech line (not the standard mopar tech line), all they do is the Magnum stuff. They should be able to direct you to a solution, if there is one.
