I spent the entire day today replacing my belly pan gasket.. The old one was broken and I was usin lots and lots of oil... Now, with the new gaskets in place, its idling about 4oo rpm's lower.. its only at about 500 rpm's now.. My uncle told me it was normal... not suckin as muchair now with the new gaskets or somethin.. I guess it makes sense... anyone know? thanks

Well, I've never replaced my belly pan, but my truck idles at about 500-650 RPMs it seems.

My truck also idles at around 500-600 revs. Whta motor do you have? I have a 318, it may differ from certain motors. But it sounds fine to me.

I have the 3.9L, which really is the 318 with a lobotomy.

Just replaced mine last week. Idle was completely normal. Make sure all your sensors and injectors are plugged in correctly. Also, you might want to check the linkages on the throttle body. My 318's idle is about 700 rpm

Hey Brandon.. Checked everything.. Its all ok. My roll pan should be here tomorrow.. definately gonna paint this weekend.. Where I'm gonna do it is on Red Bud Trail... Just on the other side of US 12... I'll get ahold of ya sometime later on this week..
