When you reinstall new plugs, use Anti-Sieze compound on plug threads, a little goes along ways here.

the articles i read usually discuss plugs that have been in the head for 70k or more. I guess this is why they ran into so many problems. Anti seize compound for sure. Is there different grades of that stuff (heat ranges) just like silicon adhesive or one type?

Anti seize is your friend. Not just on plugs, but on many other parts -- like water pumps, breechplugs, etc.!

There are different heat ranges. The regular Permatex stuff goes to like 1600, then the copper goes to 1800 and Nickel goes up to like 2200, 2400, I can't remember. You only need the Silver.

There isn't any Amsoil brand of anti seize, it's generally all the same. Just pick up some Permatex. I use it, because it's easy to find and their containers seem to hold up well, opposed to NAPA brand X.

Anti seize is also good on exhaust pipes, mufflers and exhaust manifold bolts. They come apart much easier when the time comes to change them. It will withstand very high temperatures. In addition to the afformentioned brand names, Never Seez is another brand name.
