I have herd a lot of people saying that if you go with the 5.9 kenne bell s/c you cant do many other engine mods. this is the setup I was thinking of: Lightning Killer Package
1.7 Roller rockers
K/B s/c w/alky injection
high stall torque converter
Full borla exaust w/ no cats
Would this work? Or too many traction probs?

I think that would be a good set-up. The problem people were have is with bumping up the boost and air/fuel settings.

You are definitely going to have to spin the K-B blower faster than stock to produce any boost with that set-up. The 220 cam with 1.7 rockers gets you like .543" of lift, add the duration, plus the amount of air the heads flow I think you would be better off with a Vortech, Paxton Novi 2000, or a Procharger. I'm not saying it won't work but you are probably going to pay hell trying to tune it. Just my .02 others may know better.

I was looking at a vortech, i just wasnt sure about what the difference was from a kenne bell.
And Bart, the lightning killer package will put my regular cab rt into the low 13sec q/m range. Gee a little faster than a lightning already isnt it!even without a blower!

I thought you were talking about putting the kit on with the parts listed. If you want to put it on with KRC's lightening killer package it would be to much of a pain in the A$$ to tune. I must have missed it the first time I think Barts in the same boat. The kenne bell kits are engineered for stock or barely modded engines, They do that intentially.
The stock kenne bell kit would be a waste of money for you considering the unit can only support 550hp about 125hp max over the lightening killer's output.(http://www.superchargersonline.com/techarticles_detail.asp?RecordID=4) You would need to up grade to the blowzilla unit(if possible) at a greater cost, which is rated to 700hp.
A centifugal supercharger will be a better choice.

The units to look at are procharger P-1sc series , Vortech T-trim or Paxton NOVI 2000 all will supprot over 800hp and are the top units for the street.

don't the KB kits come with the 2.2l blowzilla stock for the 5.2 & 5.9 engines??? The KB upgrade for the lightning will produce 20lbs of boost with the smaller pulley so why wouldn't it support the lighting killer package??? I would think this would work fine...

I think all thier kits come with th 1.5L unit except for the 2 kits one for the lightening and one for the mustang. They actually rate thier units at 450HP for the 1.5L and 675hp for the 2.2L. I wouldn't think of getting the stock kit for a truck that has approw. 425hp on the motor. They say that the 2.2L unit upgrade for the lightening package is a $400 option.

Bart....I agree to some extent......the 5.9L is dated....oldy...but a goody. So now Mopar released the 5.7L Hemi to wail on the lightning...:)

Unfortunatley it isn't a dream...I've beatin 2 Lightnings on all motor in my R/T...so it can be done.
