We need more info. Are these both 4x2 or 4x4? What engine is in the donor Ram? You'll need a lot more than just the trans. Clutch pedal setup, hydraulic clutch release system, flywheel, PCM to name a few.

on the 5 speed the tranmission came of a 2000 1500 ram truck it 5 speed my durango is 2000 and it was automanic i remove the shifter and the automanic transsion ,and the paddles on the durango i install the paddles and hydraulic system of a 99 dakota i also install the flywheel and clutch assembly and transmision of 1500 ram everthing fit the only thing is when i was going to make the hold on the floorbord it look like the shifter is going to be to close to the dash i also wanted to add that i got the motor running i rewired the safety neatural switch do i still need to change the computer or can i stick to the i got now.its two wheel drive

my 1991 dakota was doing the same thing but if you leave it sit in reverse while it's running it usually kick's in in a minute

Hi, I think I lost my last post. I have a 94 Dakota with 120K with a 318 V-8. the tranny dumped. Any one know what type of Mopar cars trucks etc. I can get a replacement tranny from? or any one have a tranny. Im in Ca cant afford to buy a new rebuild, and if not this truck will have to be put to rest. She too nice for that any help would be great

I have a 2005 dodge dakota, quad cab. 4.7 liter. 2 wheel drive automatic 4 speed . the transmission has lost 1st and 4th gear. i recently pulled a trans out of a 2004 dodge dakota 2 wheel drive. not sure what motor it had but it is a 4 speed trans. the trans looks slightly different than the one in the 2005.(different pan shape, different tail shaft circumfrance, and linkage attachment) my questionk!!! will it work??? thanks in advance.

My son has a 1992 dakota 4x4 with 5.2 the trans stops when its warmed up so most likely we well be switching transmissions Im being told I can only use one from a 1992 so 1) is this true (2 if not what years and models of Mopar well work

I'm not 100 percent positive but, you should be able to use any V8 trsans from '97 to '04 and v6 trans from '00 to '03. If I remember right from '00 - '03 there were two manual trans used. The NV3500 and NV3500HD and I think the only difference between is the HD is a close ratio. You may want to talk to a dealer parts counter person. If you find one that cares enough they can cross reference to be 100%.

Need to know what type of trannny is in a '96 1 ton dodge dually. It has a 360 gas engine, auto. Thinking of buying but tranny bad and need to know if one I have will work. Have the vin if that helps. Owner thinks it is a 46RE?

have a new 5 speed stick trans part# 53015808aa think it fits 1998--2001 Dakota with 3.9 v\6. is this correct, and will it fit 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive ? want to sell on e-bay and need correct applications. thank you.
