Message: If you have some 1/4" steel plate laying around and are handy with a torch and welder, you can make it work. They are several inches wider than the Safari Bar and end up about as wide as our frame so you will have to make a new mounting kit that attaches to inside of frame. I looked into this awhile back, and passed on the work involved to make it look right for the $400(with fake skid plate) they charge for a flimsy thin piece of 3" pipe that wouldn't hold up to anything larger than light brush anyway and start rusting fast since they are not stainless steel.
The Bull Bar and Safari Bar are definately just for looks are not meant for off-roading other than to hold extra lights since they hang down 2-3" below front fascia decreasing your front approach angle/clearance and not able to stand up to any real impacts. Put that money towards a real bumper like the one Tom is advertising in the Off-Road Section for $650 IMO unless you are just going for appearance only.
I have a Chrome Safari Bar that was on the wives 02 Dak for 2 months that is like new that I paid over $350 for. I took it off for the winter so it wouldnt rust and probably won't even put back on now that I got her a SS front bumper cover and the Bar does not look like it would fit. I may consider selling the bar with Pilot Chrome lights.

Message: It goes over the original bumper and this will give you an idea of how they are shaped:

I know several people on this board have one installed and in their profile pics.
