im new to the dakota so bare with me, just switched from being a taurus SHO guy.Any way got a 03 quad cab with 4.7 and every morning i back out of my driveway and i hear the sqeeling noise like the rearend or brakes are sqeeling in the rear.. but after it is on the road its fine .. i thought it might be just the surface rust the develops on the roters but im not sure..

Is there any bluish white smoke? That could be your tires :)
Do the 03's come with rear disks or drums? If it's drums, jack the rear end up and see if the wheels spin with just a little bit of resistance or if they grab. With disks, I'd have to see how the mechanism works.
