 Subject: Removing Govenor?

I hvae a 4.7L 2000 Dodge Dakota, and I was looking for some mods to put on so I got 360 Air intakez and 40 series 2 chamber exhaust and a Eruo Guage andit is one loud car. My friend has a ford lighting and so I want to beat that fake truck and he makes fun of my govenor on the dodge. Does anybody know how I can do this and does Jet Chip remove it? Thank You so so much.

the lightning has a govner on their too...
youwont be able to beat him, unless you get some real mods... you can hope you run up against one of those slower pre00 models, but its highly unlikely youll take him... not trying to be negative or anything, just looking out for ya - most of those trucks run low-mid 13's off the show room floor...

when you get up near 99 turn your key over 1 click kinda like your starting it and the mph gauge will drop to 0 and your rpm gauge will stay where it is by doing this you just bypassed your governor,don't tell your friend this though surprise him,don't listen to blakdak if you was to lose it is your friend your racing.

There is a way to get past the speed governor...
No, the Jet chip doesn't remove it...
