I am guessing that this has nothing to do directly with the head work. I'm not sure what tells the transmission when to shift but maybe the TPS is going wiggidy. That would explain why it shifts when it isn't floored. I'd say this is a job for the dealer. My $0.02. Thank god for 5spds.
