Message: 2.5" Carsound cat to a 2.5" magnaflow muffler. Not much louder than stock abut sound like a strong V8 now. Good rummble when I put it to the floor and some good power gains as well.

Message: I'm well past being a teenager but to me, louder is better. Headers, high flow cat(s), into Original Flowmaster 40's.

Message: No question. Dynomax. Flowmaster is old technology, Borla, your paying for the name. Dynomax outperforms all other brands in the same class of muffler. Look as long as you want, and you won't find anything that outperforms Dynomax. I used flowmaster for years until I saw the numbers on the Dynomax. They simply have more CFM's for each muffler class.

Message: Sean J., most of the time the marginal power output of one muffler over another is negligible.
You buy what sounds good.
Remember, pros and cons are also subjective.
Thing | pro | con |
Turndown tip | increases volume; gives a very deep note, I mean deep! | it rattles your brains out and vibrates your back (could be a pro?) |
straight pipe | loud and natural engine roar and raspyness | not just loud, but ear piercing loud, you may get a ticket |
muffler x vs y | get what sounds good to YOU, don't give a flying fuk about numbers |
nice shiney tip | it's pretty and attractive, accents your truck | more expensive |
You still have duals, h pipe, x pipe, y pipe, cats or no cats, headers, cutout, lots of choices.
Unless you are an all out stock racing car looking for every bit of juice, get what you think sounds good.

Message: Spintech cat back!! You can get single or dual, and have it exit in rear, stock location, or in front of the rear tire like the Fords. www.spintechmufflers.com Oh, and for Sean, the Spintech outlfows them all, but flow numbers don't mean as much when installed on a vehicle. I hate flowmasters. Everyone and their brother is driving around with flowmasters on everything from a 4cyl Honda civic to huge lifted V-10 4x4's. Do you want to sound like a lot of other cars/trucks on the road??
