Hi, I was considering the hassles of the engine swap to be done on my 91 2WD ext. cab 318/A500/8.25 Dak.
I have a built 76 360 (9.8:1, 276/276 solid, 2.02/1.60 ported, roller rockers, high rise dual plane, balanced, yada yada) and access to a rebuilt 727 non lockup tranny.
Am aware of www.engineswaps.com and their products, so mounting it is no problem.
What the heck should I do about the wiring? I have plans to run the holley projection setup while canning all stock computer controls and smog crap. There are no emission checks in Indiana. Previously someone offered to post a wiring diagram on a similar question, is it possible to post it again?
The 8.25: Is it a liability? This combo will have big cam/3000 converter/3.91:1/big tires. Will it pop with yukon axles and aftermarket posi? Better on getting an 8 3/4? Would go with 9" phord but prefer to keep it all mopar. Am open to options though.

I can't help you much on the motor stuff. As for the rear end, The 8 1/4 probably won't hold up. The 8 3/4 swap makes the most sense, easy to match up width, etc. And IMHO, it's as strong or stronger than a Ford 9".

Thanks Bill. Wouldn't want to dump money into a rearend that will explode regardless! I know the B body 8.75 is roughly the same width as the stock 8.25. Will start hunting for one.
Anyone else have advice on the wiring?

Its a Blue R/C with a 3.55 sure grip has the A/500 auto and has some mods on it now. waiting to do the expensive stuff later

I need a wiring diagram for the a/c system on my 91 dakota....i have replaced the computer and the controller pressure swithes are good and charge is good but no power to the relay that pulls in compressor....can you help me with this

Hey I'm putting in a 76 360 in my 91 dakota
as well I'm not as far along as you guys so
any advice on it is great Im working on oil
pan and pick up tube at the moment
