Now this is the color R/T that I would sell a body part for I have never seen one in my area and only saw a few in pictures but they are the sweetest looking Dakotas I have ever saw so if anyone has saw one please tell me. thanks

That was a 1 model year color-- 00.

I was offered about 1/2 way through the 2001 year also, It's even in the 2001 factory Dakota books. I asked to order it in June/July of 2001 and it had been discontinued for a few months at that point. Somewhere a little after discountinuing Amber Fire they dropped one of the most popular colors, Intense Blue. I will never understand that. They did add Atlantic Blue and Graphite for the last month of 2001 Dakota production but that Atlantic Blue is not half the R/T color Intense Blue is, I'm lucky, I had a Atlantic Blue 2001 on order that got cancelled, I would have been pretty disappointed, but then again it would have been my fault for not waiting until I could see the color before ordering!

Hey Met,I've got a 00,CC SLT in 2 tone Amberfire/Driftwood. I have not seen many Daks here in S.E. VA in this color,only a few on 95. Touch up on this color is a bite, I've tried 2 dealers and a few different lot#'s but the paint doesn't match up well. Oh BTW Im not looking to sell or trade for body parts. :)

wow do i feel special now...
it was 1 of 2 trucks on my island. but now i moved to lawton, ok and haven't seen another RT yet. i got a price break because they couldn't move that color; it sat in the showroom from febuary 00 until sep 00 when i bought it. 19000 miles later, i love it and just got complemented on it today at the gas station.
