Subject: I wonder??? IP: Logged
Message: I bought the filters to change tranny oil. The spin-on filter looks just like a regular four cylinder motor oil filter with a hollow threaded bolt with allen shape inside that can be remove. I wonder if this filter can be replace with a regular motor oil filter of equal size?. I hope that anyone knowledgeable in this suject can answer if possible or not.

Message: I'm just going on intuition here but . . . bad idea. Apple juice and pee look the same but you don't wanna drink one of them =) Tranny oil and engine oil have different properties and there is more than likely a difference between the two filters. My $0.02
