Hello . . .
Recently I have been seraching for a Dakota to replace my current truck. I have looked high and low and I don't think I have found ONE V8 4x4 club cab 5spd. Im am probably going to end up with either a 97 or a 98 . . . were the V8's available in 5spd? I certainly hope they were. I would like to do a little bit of wheeling and a manual trans is priceless on the trails. I think I'd get bored driving auto. Will I have to settle for a V6 to get the 5spd? Thanks for any info-

yes they did make V-8's with manuals, in fact I have a 1998 w/ the 5.2 and the NV-3500 5 speed. I hope this answers your question.

I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport 5.2 regular cab 5 speed yellow i know they are rare but i dont know how rare they are it has the 3.92 gears but with limited slip witch sucks no possie

Got a 5sp in mine and love it. It was a little hard to find back in 97 when i bought it but it has been well worth the trouble of looking around. Good Luck in your search.
125 hp Nitrous, 5.5 Inch Lift, 33x12.50's .........etc. etc. etc.

Thanks much. I was getting worried for a little while that I'd have to settle for either V8 and auto or V6 and 5spd. I guess now it's just a matter of waiting until one turns up. Thanks again-

Stop taunting me!! =) I have found ONE 4x4 V8 5spd and it is a standard cab on the other coast. I'd be willing to drive 400 or maybe more miles to get one but they are few and far between to say the least. The weekend should bring a new batch. Ugh. If you know of a gen III V8 4x4 Club Cab 5spd truck in the bay area it's MINE!! J/k, i'd be much obliged(sp) if someone would notify me. =) I'd prefer not to do an auto-manual swap over. Thanks again for giving me hope for salvation in the form of a V8 5spd. Peace-

Go to Dodge.com and pull up dealer search / new or used inventory. Put in any area of the country you want. You might be surprised at what you'll find.
