Subject: Cruise not working IP: Logged
Message: Ok my cruise will work fine and then it will just stop for no reason.I changed out the TPS and still nothing.What should I do next?It's a 318 if that matters.

Message: You could try checking the codes to see if it says anything out of the ordinary. Turn the key to the run position(don't engage the starter, then off, run, off, run and wait. The check engine light will blink displaying 2 digit codes. Count the blinks then there will be a brief pause then it will blink again. Put these two numbers together and you have you code. An example is 55 which means it is finished reading codes from the memory. If you get any codes I would be happy to translate them for you if you post them.

Message: I did check the codes and didn't get anything other than finding out my o2 sensor is bad.I'm really stuck on this one and don't know what to do.I checked all the vacuum lines and they all seem fine.

Message: I had a problem with the cruise not working with mine because the truck was a repairable and when it was smashed up the steering column got unhooked from the steering box. The problem with mine was the clockspring assembly which is right behind the steering wheel. It allows the wires for the cruise and air bag to turn with the steering wheel.

Message: Check all vacuum hoses and their connectors very carefully, look for any cracks, tears or loose fit; also check brake switch circuits.
