i have a 318, if i replace the stock muffler with a flowmaster 10 series (1 chamber) muffler and then used a y pipe to make duals coming out the back how loud would this be?????????????????
also if you have any other ideas on making my truck loud please tell me.

Yea, cut the muffler off! You could add a turn down after you cut it also!

Now that's funny,,, C-4 would make it louder for A minute or two.
re re,, If you want loud there are A few ways to do it.
1. remove the muffler and put the Y pipe on behind the CAT. and run duels out the back, or.
2. If you are not worried with the hassle of the sniffer test to get your tags, take the complete exhaust off, and run true duel all the way back.
Also you you could just install turn downs before the rear axle instead of taking the pipe all the way to the back bumper. It's your truck do with it as you want to.

Will it hurt the 4.7 to run true duels. and if would not hurt the motor, for true duels do you need to remove the cat. I live in Maine and the is not real smog testing or anything.. they are rather lax about state inspections. just the major things like lights, E brakes, and ball joints.

I also have a 318 and i just added a new muffler with y tip duals with the 3"tip its sounds pretty sweet...and mean!

I run a y pipe off my cats and straight pipe back and that gives a %ell of a roar! Pretty rappy..Again in Maine everybody's ride is loud. 2.5" pipe
