 Subject: Lifting my 92 dakota ext cab with 5.2

I was wondering if anyone could help me with putting a 3 inch body lift on my dakota. I was wondering how hard it is going to be, how long it will take, and what if any special tools I might need to get my hands on. Also about the fan and the lower radiatior hose any suggestions on that would greatly be appreciated.

I installed a 2" in my 95 witha 5.2 and i had to trim the tips of the fan blade off so if you going to go with a 3" then i'm guessing you will have to go with a flex fan or an electric fan because the fan will hit your transmission line.the lower radiator hose i didnt see any reason for having to replace it the 3" might be different but i would still think it would be fine with the one thats on it already as far as how hard it is. i'm 17 and my brother in law and i put mine in about 8 hours total and we ran into a few minor problems or we could have got it done all in one day. you shouldnt need any special tools.just a good impact and a welder to weld the shifter extension.the other thing is you might want to figure out a way to extend your 4x4 shifter becuase that will be way down in the floor if not and its hard to get ahold of the handle then. hope that helps
