If your fan is like mine on my 2002 V6 Sport, the fan is 19" in diameter. I've thought about installing one of these, also, but the stock fan has a round hole in the middle, where the Flex-A-Lites have a cross/slot bolt pattern. You'd need to do away with the fan clutch and install a spacer, or possibly buy one of their fan clutches, as I understand it. I'd like to keep my clutch if I install one. Also, be sure to get the reverse rotation fan for serpentine belt drives if you buy one. Let us know how it works if you do it...P

You need a reverse rotation and one that will fit on a clutch. 19 inch sounds right. The flex fan won't cool enough in extreme situations like towing or hot weather. Rumor has it that they fly apart too although I've never seen one do that.

Pixelenvy, Why do you want to go with a flexfan? Why not go with a electric fan? I have one in my 97 4X4 and it does great. Gets tried alot when i go 4 Wheeling and are constantly kreeping at higher RPM's (4-Low) and never had a problem with it at all. Got mine from truckperformance and although a little spendy, worth the money with the quality and performance!! heres the link to mine if you want to take a look http://www.truckperformance.com/vehicle.search/?searchtype=6d&sortorder=DAAA&urlsubcategory=Cooling+System&productcategory=Electric+Fans&sf1=DODGE&sf2=1997&sf3=DAKOTA&sf4=APPLICATION+SPECIFIC+ELECTRIC+FANS&sf5=318%2F5.2L
