Message: I've owned a 2001 R/T RC since February 2001 and have loved every gas guzzling mile. I have had a couple small isues however. The first being a problem when I push the pedal to the floor coming off the line. I first noticed it when I was trying to piss off a mustang cobra coming out of the toll booth on I-294 in Chicago...(don't get me wrong...I know I'd get smoked, but I gotta admit, I love trying to piss off the Pony Boys!) Anyway, I hit her about as hard as she would go right outta the box and it was fine until the switch from 1st to 2nd gear where she couldn't seem to make up her mind (like any woman I suppose) and she shifted back and forth a couple times before finally grabbing second and going. I apologized profusely to her (originally I thought it was my fault...told ya she was a woman, trickin the man into thinkin it's his fault) Anyway, anytime I push it to the floor off the line she has the same problem. I've got a 100,000 mile warranty with the dealership and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this issue. This is my first "performance" vehicle (unless a Lebarron or a Oldsmobile count....don't answer that!). So I'm a little in-experienced, but eager to learn about this wonderful machine. Me and my lady would appreciate the help!

Message: Uh oh, sounds like someone had the jitters. Typical woman, but remember, women reserve the right to change thier minds at will! Anyways, the problem your refering to is known as "hunting". (How do you like that, a woman hunter. J/K) What this means is that the Throttle pressure overcomes the governor pressure in 2nd and kicks it down into 1st. But when this happens, the governor pressure shoots WAY up and forces an upshift into 2nd, where the Throttle valve pressure overcomes governor pressure, etc.. This isn't really your fault or the trucks fault. I'll give you a link on how to adjust the throttle valve (kickdown) cable so that it might help a little bit. heres the link. (cut and paste it)

good luck, repost to let me know how it works out for you.
