Message: Hey, I was just wondering how long stock brakes typically hold out? I have 26.5k on the dak and no probs so far. I drive the truck as a commuter in the suburbs, so plenty of stop and go traffic.
And when the time comes, whats a good replacement? Just go with the dodge ones again?

Message: Ptowndak-
I recently rolled over 82,000 miles on my 2000 Dakota. I've replaced my pads once, at around 51,000. I just took it to the dealer and they slapped on another pair of whatever and they still work fine.
Hope it helps.

Message: boy I can't wait to hear what all the donkey nay-sayers are going to post about this. If you don't rag on the truck the stock stuff is fine. 42000 miles and pad and shoes still look like new.

Message: Hey Artie,
Where did you get your Mopar roof rack. How much did you pay and what was involved in installing it? I have a Glasstite shell on my CC and want to put a canoe up there.

Message: PTownDak,
The roof rack on the truck is a MOPAR that I had installed at the dealer when I bought the truck. I am pretty sure the headliner needs to be removed to install.
The roof rack on the cap is the opt. rack offered thru LEER, and I had that installed when the cap was purchased at the LEER dealer.
I paid dealer cost for both items last November and I really don't know what that is anymore. Wish I could help a little more. Good luck
