Message: a blown 318 will have more power than a NA 360, so i say just put a supercharger on it
-Eric Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown. 5.2L, 5speed. Powerdyne SC, 50mm TB, 2bbl M-1, 1.7RR's, MSD 6BTM, ciramic JBA headers, 3" carsound cat, dumped gibson

Message: Well, short of putting in a 360, you can go through the basics, such as exhaust (a catback), a free-breathing intake (I recommend a K&N FIPK, or even a drop in K&N filter element). Headers will gain you some ponies, as will larger (50 mm) throttle body, and a set of 1.7:1 roller rockers. Together, these mods should make a really noticable improvement.

Message: I agree with Fubar, I recently installed the K&N FIPK and got the cat back exhaust and it I'm happy you'll instantly feel the diference. Make sure to go with Flowmaster. A tune up is a good idae if you haven't done so already. I would also suggest superchip, but according to there site I don't think they make them for our 97's? Although I'm still looking in to it.

Message: well, to Justin the not so smart, more power is NOT always an urge for more speed (but it doesnt hurt =P) but maybe for more towing or off road power, how does your little rice burner car do in those catagories? I also have a 318 and am looking to get some more power out of it ( for speed when I need it =P not all the time ) as well as the occasional towing, what kind of strokers can you pull out of it and where is a good spot to check out super/turbos? (also body kits, since the truck is currently smashed to hell)
Thx in advance

Message: I would start off with the basics like a mopar pcm, CAI, and exhaust system. This is always a good way to start building some extra power. The next step would be intake manifold, bigger TB, and possibly some 24lbs injectors. After that I would go with a cam and ported heads to match. These are just the basics nothing to drastic.
