Subject: There is a hole... IP: Logged

started within about the last month. From idle to about
1,800 rpms everything is fine, but from 1,800 to about
2,800 rpms it just seems to loose it. This sucks
because well hell thats crusin' range. Its to the point that
the slightest hill is slowing me down on the highway
and I either have to anticipate the hill way early and
start feeding it gas or get it to kick down. If I lock out the
overdrive the power picks up about where it should be
at about 2,800-3,000 rpms and it takes off, but as soon
as I re-engage the OD and the rpms drop... You get the
picture.
I've checked the Plenum gasket and if I pull the PCV
cover the hole and plug the end of the breather a
pressure builds up. If I look down the TB I can see a
small amount of oil but it is right in the area where the
PCV enters the intake. So I'm 80% positive my plenum
gasket is good. I've also tested the TPS and cleaned th
IAC and I just replaced the cat about 6 months ago.
Where is my power going in that RPM range? Truck's
Specs are in my sig...
