Subject: Aftermarket exhaust IP: Logged
Message: Hello
My 94 RC 2WD V-8 5speed needs exhaust. What kind of cat back is available? I looked at Jegs/Summit. In the regualar cab, all they had was 97up stuff. My local exhaust shop said they could get 2.5" flowmaster muffler/ new tubing and install $250.00 I do not want a loud system. I would like duals but for the money, single would be fine. Any one have 94-96 RC 2WD V-8 STk with aftermarket exhaust. Im not sure if I need a different design compared to auto/4WD?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Travis

Message: i had a 96 dodge ram that i spent 900 dollars in exhaust, and did it ever sound good and it made me a true believer though flowmaster is the only way to go, headers made up a chunk of that change though. if you don't want it to be loud go with the flowmaster 50 series they create the flow with less sound then the 40 series, but if your gonna go duels use the 40 series make it roar. if performance is what your looking for then your best bet would be leave it single exhaust because dodge are designed to run off the backpreasure that is set up from the factory. your trac times will be slowed if you make it too free flowing, i learned my lesson the hard way with my 2002 dakota 4x4, was running 9.98 in the 1/8 mile at 73mph put high flow cat in place of third cat and ran a single in duel out flowmaster and now i am running 10.35, yet burnning out 3rd alot more, but this is just what i have learned from doing exhaust on my last 2 dodges.

Message: I started at the Y-pipe with a 3" pipe, 3" cat.
and a 3" Spin Tech muffler that exits in front of
the rear wheel. It sounds really great and I
have picked up a whole lot at the big end.

Message: I have a 94' 2wd auto V8. I've got JBA headers and the flowmaster cat back for a 97' modified to fit. I have had it for several years now and have been very happy with it. I'm nt a big fan of noise, firm believer in speak quietly and carry a big stick. After the first of the year I will be looking to make some changes to the exaust though.

Message: Well, I've got a 95 CC 2wd v8 5 speed with a Dynomax catback on it. It was like $120 shipped from Jegs and sounds pretty good.
