Subject: Suspension upgrades IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering what the best options are for improving the performance of V8 Dakotas through suspension mods. I should be getting my new rims within the next couple of weeks and will probably invest in the active suspension next. Does anyone have any ideas of what suspension products really do work for enhancing performance of V8 Daks? I figure before I decide to do anything spectacular to the engine I better milk the suspension first. Thanks for suggestions.

Message: Hotchkis and Quickor.
I'll have the Quickor (custom built) sway bars installed after the 26th.

Message: Does lowering effect performance that much? Bernd I know you just recently lowered yours. Will I see a big difference with a 2-3 drop and will the truck stay functional (towing and what not)? I'm thinking that sway bars would be the best way to go though. What are the best shocks to go with (possibly that are reasonably priced)?

Message: I just installed a set of Energy Suspension urethane bushings on the stock front sway bar. Cheap and easy upgrade and made a big difference in handling.

Message: Mainly for the track. I know I don't drive a Porshe and I'm trying to make my Dak like that. I just want to make my Dak more controllable with a firmer ride and better traction. I have a 2000 4.7L 4x2 SLT CC LSD w/3.92's. I know it has potential and I'd hate to throw a bunch of money into the engine without having a suspension that can back it up.

Message: Please take the time to type out your messages and provide correct spelling. It is really difficult to read abbreviations and "thoughts", not written words. And please, its Porsche, one of the most perfect cars in the world must be spelled appropriately.

Message: grady you have to be kidding?besides when i think of one of the most perfect cars porsche doesn't even come to mind!ive been in a 911 and a 944 (which should be a ship anchor)and the ride is rough enough to keep it in the garage to show you friends look i have enough money to buy a porsche.
not to piss you off but your comments are idiotic.
besides all the abbreviations he used are ones where every dak (dakota)owner should know!

Message: Thanks for backin me up durtydog. I figured all Dakota owners knew what those abbreviations meant. A Porshe (hehehe) is not the most perfect car in the world...a 427 Cobra is. Didn't anyone ever tell you that if you have nothing nice to say to not say anything at all? Or in this case constructive?
