Message: ive seen a few 4.7 RC's 5-speeds go 15oh's dead stock. i havent seen any go 14's yet but there might be some out there that are stock. you can do a cat back exhaust, true duals, throttle body, headers, relocate iat, H.O. cams, the possibilities are endless.

Message: GOOD CHOICE! I think they run 14.8-15.4 depending on where you live and the skill of the driver. I am not the best person to answer the warranty part, but most parts shouldn't make too much of a difference. You will not be unhappy with this combination, you went with one of the fastest setups you can get from the Dakota.

Message: The warrenty issue depends on your service department. Technically, if something breaks, and you make a warrenty claim, they have to prove that the mod CAUSED the malfunction in order to deny the warrenty.
I think your new truck should run 14s, I'd love to see it happen! They are SO close to running 14s stock, my club cab does 15.2 w/ intake and exhaust, but it's a club cab, and 3.55.
BTW, how did you find such an awesome truck, 2002 year still on the lot??

Message: i haven't quite got it yet, but hearing you guys talk makes me very anxious to get it. so you thingk with a k+n and drag radials it will be in the 14's? if so, iam very happy. another question though, is how bad is the insurance going to be? i would like to hear what you guys are paying? also, i know it would void the warrenty for sure but would a 75shot be able to bring it into the 13's maybe?

Message: Justin, the insurance in comparison to performance in a brand new vehicle is unbeatable. That is actually one of the main reasons I got my truck setup the way you did. I bet you can not find another 2002 vehicle with a better payment/performance ratio than the truck you just got. The payment depends largely on you as a driver. Bottom line, you'll like it. Me: 19/Male daily driver (school/work), no tickets, I pay 180/Month.
75 should do it, but I think that's the most KRC or Bernd (smarty pants know everything guys ;) said that is about the maximum.
Here is some good reading material on your new engine: http://dodgeram.org/tech/gas/Cammer/4_7_v8.html

Message: a 75 shot should shave at least a full second
off of your ET's. those slicks will definately
help, probably 2-3 tenths. depending on how
hard you want to dump the clutch...you could
probably be in the 13's with the nitrous.
Me...23 male student/work no tickets no
accidents $175.00 per month.
if you dont need the club cab for extra room,
you've made a very good choice : )

Message: $90, damn. I have friends who pay 100 for early 90s sedans (Accord, Sentra, etc.) I can't even imagine insurance that low.

Message: I was at the track last Sat. Was cold and wet here in Ontario Can but I managed a 15.5 with next to no traction in first. 2.4 60' was my best.
I didn't take off anything and left the tailgate up. Just no clutch fan. My 2003 is 3 weeks old and is 100% stock. Its a CC 4.7 5 speed 3.92. I think the track is at 700 feet above . I figure with slicks it will be close to the 15.0 mark.
