Hey, I was wondering if someone could give me the cam shaft settings to a 02' 4.7. passenger side. I am no fulltime mechanic but have worked on many things thru the years so I am capable of changing out a head and I have seen the torque patterns and such from older postings. I want to make sure I have the overhead cam shaft lined up properly I noticed a dot on the front of the gear I take it this needs to be in a certain direction when I reinstall the head. The bigger sized valve seat in cylinder 2 came out and hung up which scarred the piston a little. The side of the head was damaged a little where the seat will sit. Can this head be re -used if checked out? Also what would make the seat pop out like that? It has aprox. 170,000 miles. No other problems with it it runs great. I am planning to just fix the valve seat and re install the head. The truck has been used for work and really is not worth putting large amounts of cash into it just want to keep it rolling here and there. Thanks in advance for any diagram you can send me or info. My email is pavvex@aol.com.. Thanks.
