I am changing the Trans filter and pan gasket. But I ran into a little problem . The filter that is on my truck now is a thin yellow one. And the one I bought today is thick plastic with what looks like the small thin one in it. Whic is the right one for my truck ? I wen to another part store and they pulled the same kit I just bought.

the black plastic filter you bought is for a 46/47 RE. the one you need is for an A-500 or an A-518. what year is your truck, motor or trans?
