Subject: sneaky pete, O2 and open loop IP: Logged
Message: I was under the understanding that with my Sneaky pete system the o2 sensor would tell the computer to add more fuel. I have read this in multiple posts. Then I read on the modes of opperation on speedtweaks under "what is open and closed loop operations" that at WOT the computer does not use the o2 sensor.
How does the computer know to add extra fuel for the lean condition?
If i blow it up i guess my truck will have the 360 sooner!!
Thanks,
Nathaniel

Message: What shot size are you running. I dont know that much about the 5.2's I am running a R/T but i know nitrous.
Does your truck have a MAF setup like a LS1(Trans am/z28) or are you just talking about spraying the Iat sensor.
Nitrous in genral all depends on octane rating dont listen to all that bs about you need to dump massive amounts of fuel in there to stop it from blowing up. A wet system is the safest yes but that is because the nitrous atomizes with the extra fuel and makes the combustion chambers cooler and gives you that little bit of fuel so you dont lean all the way out.
I have used both wet and dry systems on my R/T both were 100 shots. The wet ran fine, but i did experiance some detonation with the dry. But that was because computer ups the timing between shifts 20 degress and it was a hot summer in texas. All that was needed was a bottle of octane booster and no detonation at all.
Higher octane slows the burn thus making it cooler. Hot spots in the combustion chamber is a main cause of detonaiton and how a motor gets destroyed. If you slow and cool the burn process you are fine. Also use colder plugs if i remember correctly its 3923's by autolite. This will also cool off the chambers. And dont hot lap nitrous you are only asking for trouble let your truck cool off a little between rounds.
I hope this info helped you out. any questions give me a hollar
