Subject: 4.7L 3" Exhaust Job? Parts needed? IP: Logged
Message: Hey all. I have amassed a bit of parts for doing a 3" single out on my 2002 4.7L 5spd CC. I need to know what all I should have to give to the muffler shop to have welded up. Here is what I have so far.
3" Carsound Hi-Flo Cat Conv.
3" Borla Center in/Offset out Muffler
3" Cutout with weld on flanges
3" In/3.5" Out Slant Tip
I would prefer to have a flanged connection from the y pipe to the cat but I need to know what to buy. Do I need a 2.5" to 3" flanged header collector or what? I know some of you out there have this setup on your trucks and I need to know what else is left to purchase. Also I think I need a weld in O2 bung on there in front of the cat?? Do most places keep any mandrel bent tubing in their stock? I think the only bend will be going out of the truck before the tip, like a 45* elbow. Thanks guys!

Message: You have all you need. Location of componets should be where you get most body clearance. ANY exhaust shop should be able to do the job.
