 Subject: Super-Tech Oil filters any good?

I just bought a Super-tech oil filter at Wal-mart because I have heard so many bad things about Fram. It was only $1.96. Anyone have any info on who makes it etc.? It looks like an A/C Delco.

judging a oil filter on quality is easy. the smaller the microns it catches the better the filter. i like the Fram X2 or K&N gold series. depending on your app. these should be available at kragen for $10. or if you wanna go crazy see if they have the moroso racing filter for your ride. they store a extra quart of oil in it and cost about $15.

Last I checked Chapion Lab. made them for Walmart. The problem with Walmart is that they will switch to a different supplier if the price is right. You realy can not be sure who is makeing it from one lot to the next. Champion will build to your price. If you want a cheap filter they will build it and if you want a quality filter they will build that as well. Champion build filters for Mobil 1, AC/Delco, STP, CAR and Driver, Dusch, Bosch and a lot more other companys as well. I would not use one on anything other then a Garden Tractor or Rideing Lawnmower.

i would'nt use them in my mower either
