There are a couple of things that could be causing your problem.

1. your fuel pickup is not reaching to the bottom of the tank,
and when you get to 1/4 of a tank you start to suck air.

2. You have some bad gas or water in the bottom of the tank.
Water is heavier than gasoline, and will sink to the bottom of the tank.
Try putting in some gas line antifreeze to remove any water from your tank. I would suggest HEET (Red bottle) for fuel injected engines.

I would put in some HEET first, and see if that helps. You may have to do that for a few tankfuls to remove all of the water.

After that, check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pickup in the tank.

I would definitely agree with the water/condensation prognosis in the gas tank. I have had it happen to other vehicles and they will barely run when I got to 1/8 of a tank...

you can get the gas additive at any gas station.

It also might be a bent rim or
your alignment in the rear. I had the
same problem on my 98 dak. I roatated
the tires and it stoped.

just an idea
