Message: Absolutely!
Do yourself and your Dakota a favor and replace those worn out OEM sparkplugs with a brand new set of Autolites!
You will notice a fast start, more pep, and better fuel economy. Plus the satifaction of installing the finest sparkplugs money can buy, Autolite ignition engineered sparkplugs.
You may even want to check out the Autolite platinum pro line, the absolute best sparkplug you can get! Be sure to visit www.autolite.com. Then head down to your local Autolite dealer and ask for Autolite sparkplugs by name. Tell them Harlow sent you.
You Dakota runs right when you make the switch to Autolite!
Good night!

Message: yes, just ask the thousands of motorists who made the switch to Autolite.
Ask them if their engine starts faster, idles better, and returns improved performance when they accelerate down the road!
Then you'll see why Autolite is the sparkplug of choice for vehicle enthusiasts.

I talked to two seperate individuals, on seperate occasions, both who are gear-heads. I asked them what they thought about spark plugs and thier performance.
They both said it depends on the vehicle. Obviously I said Dodge Dakota. They BOTH said without a doubt to use Champion Platinum plugs.
I'll be doing this this weekend and let you know how it goes.

Message: Harlow's back!!! Hahahahaha!
BigDak, Autolites seem to offer a little improvement by inducing a cooler combustion temperature. They have been proven by a few people to add a few hp (like less than 5), btu other people think they are more crap by the same people who brought you the Fram oil filter.
Harlow Wilcox, by the way, is the host for the Little Orphan Annie Radio Hour (it went off the air back in the 50's) and can often be found here at dodgedakotas.com stumping for Autolite. I think Autolite may have sponsored the radio show back then..... doesn't he sound a little "old-timey" in his pitch??

Message: I am runing Auto lights. They work grate. I felt a little bit of a diffrence. The only problem i saw is some times it is a little more anel about stating in the cold mornings. like 45*. But yea it works good. I also before i changed had the champoin. And i had no complaints on them eather. I jsut wanted to try something new, and heak for .95 A peice i could aford that if they sucked. But they work nice. It was just a pain to get the right side back plugs off. Good luck.

Message: here we go agian =unknowledgeable people that know more then the engineers that spent more time then all of you have together to figure out what works best,Doh! It all comes down to brand loyalty plus the fact that most of you are too lazy to look and compare the champion plug catalog to the autolite and see that champion makes a plug to the same specs but mechanically better then the autolites. Sides all that the last time I used autolites 3 of the pluds all of a sudden blasted the ceramic cores right out of them and left dents in my hood that autolite refused to pay for. somethin about nitro glycerin and gasoline they said.

Message: What's up with Harlow? He's like a screaming advertisement. Almost makes you want to stay away from Autolite. Anyway, I installed Autolite 3923 in place of my OEM 5224 w/ 28,000 miles on the odo. They work OK, the only inprovement I saw was a slight increase in part-throttle response. Be sure to choose wisely because some of those plugs are a serious pain to get out.
