The R3 block might be made for race teams, but that doesn't make it a race only block. And for the added preotection from the R3 block design for high hp engines, it's well worht the price.

The first day I didn't have slicks so I was sliding all over the track.
The second day I borrowed some slicks and hooked up good but I'm still having tranny problems so I only pulled a 14.29 @ 98.7

Who gives a damn? This man drove a street-legal, registered, insured, air conditioned pickup truck through a distance of 1/4 of a mile. That's 1320 feet. Within that distance, his pickup truck with the aforementioned features reached 131 mph. Who cares what the stickers on the side of the truck said?? I'm surprised the stickers didn't just fly off......
Holy Sh!t. What does it matter?
If you take all the trim and badges off of your truck is it still a Dodge Dakota? But it doesn't say Dakota anymore.....

Message: Probably the reason he went for the 3.91 bore and the 4.0 crank is you will make more power with a stiff bore than a big bore- esp in a blower or turbo motor. Having a 4.150 bore means nothing if it won't seal when you shove 30# of boost against it. If it's like most 4" crank small blocks I've been around redline is at about 6,500 but it has tons of torque which is the key to getting 4300# moving quickly. Looks like a pretty good package - with suspension and chassis work it should run at least 9.70-.80's going from the mph it's pulling.

Give us the best time on pump gasoline(93 octane) for fastest street R/T. Otherwise, on race fuel, it's a race truck.

just because he uses race gas at the track, dosent mean that it is not streetable.
there is no way in hell anyone would be able to unleash the power of a 9 or 10 sec car or truck on the street anyway.
thats like saying if you run slicks on a 10 second car, that its a race car....

Message: Absolutely. Compromises have to be made if you are going to have a dual use vehicle. My truck is about a full second slower in towing/premium unleaded trim with street tires on the back. That's where I turn the boost down for a safety margin with non-race gas and also hope to preserve the transmission when towing all the weight. I don't consider mine a race truck just because I put race gas in it occasionally. And I certainly have at least a hundred times more towing miles than I do racing miles.
I've pushed the envelope with 10 second cars on the street in the past... and let me tell you - it's a real pain! I enjoy my ice cold AC and decent stereo while I tow my junk to the dunes. I can't tow with it in race trim - and I can't race as quickly with it in towing trim. But give me 5 minutes and 10 gallons of race fuel and I can switch modes!

Message: I don't see anything wrong with running a little high octane pump gas in a car - hell I dump a little 114 in my 318 Dakota in the summer . I live in central Florida , it gets hot and humid , we have really crappy gas , and I don't feel like hearing it rattle so I dump 2 or 3 gallons in a tank of gas. It works better than booster and it doesn't dirty up you're plugs.

But i'll bet anything it isn't 4300lbs either.
I totally agree with Duner as well. Putting race fuel into the tank doesn't make it a Race Vehicle and even on my truck, the daily driving is kept (somewhat) detuned until I hit the track. (Even in Houston I put in 5 gallons of 104 octane Sunoco.)
If you put a part on your daily driven vehicle that states: "Not Emissions Legal - For Offroad or Racing use only"...does that make it a Race vehicle?
