Message: i have a 94 dakota with a 318 in it and for some reason it keeps dying and the tack stays at where it was at when it died, it usually takes about a half hour to start up then,i thought it was the fuel pump so i replaced it, but it still did it, so i found your web site and replaced the tack sensor on distributor along with the distributor cap and rotor, and increased the idle speed, but it still keeps dying, please help me with suggestions

Message: I'm curious how you adjusted the idle speed. I thought it was computer controled using the IAC solinoide to make adjustments. Next time it dies read the codes from it. Turn key on, off, on, off, on. After that the check engine light with blink. Count the blinks and those are your codes. These are all 2 digit codes for instance 12 is batery has been disconnected recently and 55 is end of codes. After getting the codes post them and then we'll know more.

Message: take off the air filter and on the throttle body where the cable comes to the engine from the pedal there is a screw on it but there is a cap in the scred head you have to take it out(which took a little effort) and then its a philps head screw

Message: I forgot about that idle screw. Can you keep it running? I had a problom where my 94 had a cracked computer and it would die. If I pressed on the plug it would die. I kinda doubt that's it but it's worth a try.

Message: Chrysler is pretty good about using parts from others. I guess it keeps tooling costs down. I know the gen I intrepids had stereos made by alpine which was really cool. I'm not fond of the Holly TB on mine since when I started machining it I found all sorts of porocity in the casting. Guees if i want better i'll have to go to a billet.
