The moral of the story is that anybody with more money and more time than you can make anything go fast.
That '85 Reliant over at www.thedodgegarage.com should be proof of that. He's got videos of low 10's without nitrous.
I've also personally seen a mid 80's yellow blazer (the ones that were dog-ass slow from the factory) pull high 10's with a blown small block, and that was in high heat at a moderately poor track - you'd never guess it from seeing this thing if it wasn't for the scoop sticking up out of the hood.
I know my truck will never be the fastest thing on the road... It's too heavy and I don't have the money. Enjoy what you have.

To all of you fools with your sorry ass whack'otas, I have an un supercharged 2001 S-runner and I,ve beat two R/t Dakotas. Both times right off the line they got a jump on me but by the time i hit second gear i was pulling on them like a Corvette on a school bus. R/t's are quick off the line but after that they lose all power, and I know all you fools that wasted your money on one of those p.o.s's knows what i'm talking about. I even read an article about rt's by a guy who worked for Dodge and was talking about how the tranny that was put on the rt's was freakin' sorry, and thats why it has no power. Anything you read about rt's say's the same thing. So yes an S-runner will SMOKE a whack ass R/t.

You know what, i drive a Dak QC, and i have spanked a few of those toyota QC's, but it was close each time. I have also had the spank handed to me by a sleeper s-10 as well as a sleeper f150.
Onto all this inter-product bashing, to heck with it all, i like em all! Each niche of car has its own little quirks and fun spots which make it great to each owner.
Not starting a flame or nothing, but if you've ever driven in a stock supra, let alone a heavily modded one with a hybrid single turbo setup, built tranny and suspension, you would take the supra over the lebaron anyday. Plus the supra's motor is damn near indestrucatble. But thats my opinion,and you can like it or hate it.

S-RUNNER JOE you were saying that when you took off the R/T pulled on you , then you went by them fast,let me tell you that you didnt win, they do the same thing that I do to people like you , we dont waste our time on you , and they let off the gas, save it for next time.

that is called a flybye....ricers are notorious for this.... they do it all the time over here in Phoenix....for instance the other day I rolled up to red, looked over and some dude in a civic, with 15hp stickers all over it, wings,blue lights , fart can and all, revs at me...I take off... and murdered this civic by five car lengths..... I let off at 65mph.... next thing I know this guy hauls ass by me and revs so loud....his passenger waved at me as if they won....well it was good for a few laughs....

yep fly by aint it funny how when we let off those not so smart importers go by like they did somthing, but dont understand they just got there ass handed to them by a truck (in my case a 4x4 QC) Plus most importers dont know what a 1/4 mile is cause it aint go until you cant go no more.

you fools are freakin idiots, when i raced those rt's right after getting off the line those things have no power. I even went and test drove one, and sure enough right after taking off those things feel like your driving a damn deisel. It wasn't no stupid fly-by like you fools let your selves think it was. Just a sorry truck getting its doors blown off. This message is for all you "guys" with the purple dakotas. That's a great color.
