i have a 4.7 v8 and was looking for a cold air intake for it the only ones i've found are the black plastic ones,and i guess there ok but i was looking for a chrome one because they look better.

I HIGHTLY recommend Steves (4.7onNos) intake. He did a excellent job with mine and im very happy with it for the price. He will also custom paint it any color u want.

I would go with the 360 Air Intakez System. It was dynoed at 15 rwhp and comes coated with hi-temp cerama chrome. Here is a image of the 4.7L intake system http://www.360airintakez.com/images/47Lbig.jpg
I have the 5.9L intake from them and it kicks butt.

Did you relocate your IAT? I have a 360 Air Intakez system on my '02 4.7L and I am going to relocate my IAT soon. Just can't bring myself to drilling a hole in intake tube yet.

i just built my own cold air out of black painted pvc...wanted to use abs plastic, but its 'not code' in illinois, so pvc had to do...i am very impressed with the performance pickup for $70...if you can handle some sh!t from your friends for having a homebrew part under your hood, go with it, i couldnt be happier!!!

thanks alot kota318 im really looking into that intake right now for my 2003 4.7 dakota. But im still debating on either K&N or 360airintakez only reason im leaning towards kn is because of the heat shield but its a little pricy so im still debating

Ill post pics of my Intake from Steve on either monday or tuesday. Its a really good intake for the price he offers. And incase u need some directions on how to install it, he includes a disk with pictures and directions and also a printed out version of the directions.

I recently installed the 360 air intake on my 4.7L and am experiencing a air leak at the throttle body. The supplied flexible coupling is 3 1/2" ID while the throttle body is approximately 3 1/4" OD. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

Electirical Tape around the outer TB. Least expensive, fastest, easiest way, can't see it either under the tube, and clamp it tight.
