Message: I've decided I really need to do something with my truck (what with Christmas coming and all). I've been bouncing around ideas for a while now, and especially after reading these forums. I thought I would start simple and want some opinions.
I was thinking about getting a K&N drop in filter, and a (probably) Flowmaster muffler.
Will this do anything for me? Or am I wasting money?
I have a 2002 cc 4.7.
Thanks,
Josh.

Message: I put in a K&N drop in and I think it is a good idea. However, if you are bouncing around ideas about modifying your engine, maybe you should stick with stock since you may decide to go to some kind of aftermarket cold air intake which doesn't even use the stock airbox.
I don't have any experience with Flowmaster mufflers.
