Subject: What do you think???? 1/4 mile IP: Logged
Message: Well.... going drag racing tommorrow.... with the Dodge. She is bone stock, freshly tuned up. Running great with the stock original clutch.
94 RC with 3.90, V-8 stick, 93k, w/pegleg using 235/60r15 tires on stock wheels.
Any ideas on my 1/4 mile times. This truck is very lite. NO options, I mean nothing. The only luxury I have is speed.
Wish me luck with the original clutch.
Travis
P.S. who makes a good aftermarket street/strip clutch? ACT, Clutchmaster, Centerforce, mopar

Message: no idea on times, but your BIG problem is gonna be gettin it off the line without boiling the tire. limited slip, and/or sticky tires would be my suggestion before the clutch(as long as the clutch isnt givin you fits).
as far as aftermarket clutches, i have had good luck with centerforce(but they are expensive) and ram. have a centerforce dual friction in my 75 w-100 4x4 and have seriously beat on that clutch without a problem.

Message: I have a magazine where a guy ran the same truck with a LSD in the summer and ran 15.8@87mph.
Where are you racing out of(state)? I can't afford to race so watching 7sec cars at the track keeps my hunger in check. I know once I start I won't stop until I was the fastest in the north east. = bankrupt
Let us know what you get out of it.
Good luck and have fun

Message: The truck was actually an auto so you should run faster.
