truck- 2000 4.7l cc dakota auto with single cat.

senario- on saturday I wake up and install a set of 3a racing extreme white driving lights after the instal is completed with one wire to the power on the battery and two on the ground one for the relay and one for the lights. I go to start up my truck and it makes a clicking from the starter like the battery is low, but my battery gauge is reading 14 volts tried staring about 8 times. I put it on the charger for a while at 12v 50 amps about 50 minutes. then I switch it to boost and 225amp and it still won't start(tried about 5 times). so I take the charger off and miraculously it starts.
So now I figure nothings wrong and go on my saturday night party hoping started my truck at least 15 times no problem. Then on sunday I go out to the local lake and go mudding for a little while. than I go over to my friends house to eat dinner for his birthday and after were done eating I go to my truck to start it and same problem just clicking from the satrter and my lights are real dim inside my gauge panel doesn't even light up part of the time yet my battery gauge is right in the middle. after trying to jump it and switching some relays around we find the ground wire to be hot. so we remove the grounds for the the fog lights and instantly my lights light up inside and I go on my marry way.
everything is going well till this morning foglights unhooked which is (what I beleived the problem to be) but I get the same clicking from the starter so I pop my hood and feel the terminals negative is tight hooked up just as stock and the positive is just a little loose can barely move it. I move the positive a little bit and low and behold my truck starts up. I back out my drive way and in going from reverse to forward my truck stalls. I resart it and start to go down the road. now my tack is acting funny kind of sticking at about a tousand rpm but when ever I pull up to a stoplight or drive under 10mph without my foot on the gas it stalls. (about 8 times on the way to work).

So thats the senario and now I have no idea what is wrong if any of it is releated or were to start on fixing the problem. please help this is my only ride and it will be difficult and expensive to be without it. plus will my mods cause problems with te dealer?

You might want to reset the PCM. All those load changes may have pissed it off.

If the starter just makes a single click each time the key is applied to the start position. Then the contacts in the starter need to be replaced. I have done lots of these. I doubt you will be able to find the contacts easily so get a rebuilt starter.
