Subject: My 4.7L takes a while to start? IP: Logged
Message: I have a Dodge Dakota 4.7L with 40series Flowmasters. The other day I was just seeing how loud it was and reved it up to about 5 and the next day I drove it fine but then two 2 days later I havnt dorve at all It takes like 3 seconds to start. Could someone please tell me the problem if they know?

Message: Sounds like the fuel pressure is bleeding off. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? If you have access to one, measure the fuel pressure once it's started up and running then shut it off and check it again after about 20 minutes. The fuel pressure should still be at operating pressure or with a couple percent. May be able to take to AutoZone if you don't have a gauge. Good luck!
