Mine sounds like a PW90 at 2.23 EPR.

I liked the sound of the old JT8D turbojet myself.

I've got a 97 5.2 Dak and I have noticed that it will nor, ally do this upon start up. After the engine warms up it stops. pretty normal stuff I believe.

I have a 2003 4.7 that only roared once in a while when I first bought it. Now it is almost every day, regardless of temp. After talking to several service departments and reading this forum, it sounds normal. I hated the fan noise at first, but now all my neighbors think I have a hemi under the hood!

You want to get rid of the noise than get an elect fan and take of the clutch fan and put on an a/m and no more noise OR just live with it like everyone else

Is it normal when your driving even after 10 mins for it to be noisy?

I don't know if it's normal but my 03 QC 4.7 clutch fan seems to be engaged too much. Sometimes it's enagaged at start up which is normal but I notice after say 10 mins or so from a cold start it starts to engage at slow speeds. Even in cool weather. Seems too soon IMO.
I don't have the extra cooling option if that matters.
Anyone else?

tone...if you read back on the original post page it says somewhere on there if it is doing it that much then you probably have a bad fan clutch or one that is on it's way out....

01 4.7. Had replaced the fanclutch twice. Still noisy. Live in Tx -temps over 100 most days.Noise stops in few minutes but when sitting at stop light will start up when I take off for few minutes. I don't think temp makes a diff inmy area - hot all the time. Any ideas for this extreme hot temp in Tx?
