Message: I'm ready to install a new exhaust from headers to tailpipes, what would you recommend? I would like a set of split duals but options for those are slim from what I am being told localy, and how about the edelbrock t.e.m.s. sytem has anyone had any luck with it??
It has the 5.2 auto..
Thanks for any time and help provided..

Message: Since no one else has answered i'll try and offer assistance. As for headers I use a pair of JBAs on my 94' 5.2. I have heard good things about the Mopar headers as well. I am not completely sure about the 4x4 since I have a 2wd, but on the older trucks one of the things to look at replacing is the Y-pipe. If you look at it there is a rather large dent in the pipe from where they grip it at the factory to bend it. I had ordered a new Y-pipe thinking I had hit something, but it ends up they are all like that. Local muffler shops cvan make up custom Y-pipes and it would be worth looking into.
As for split rear, I think it kind of depends on where you live and what you can talk a shop into doing for you. From what I have read and from what others on this board say a 3" single pipe will make the most power and leave you with the most torque. I personaly have a flowmaster catback modified from a 97-99 dakota. There are a lot of routing issues with true duals, especially with a 4x4. Hit me up with some questions if there is anything else I can help with.

Message: i have a 95 4x4 with a 5.2 and i went to a local muffler shop and they put a cat back system with a single glasspack and i removed the cat and let me tell it sounds mean as hell ....it has a perfect cackle to it and almost sounds like a race care but before i took the cat off it still sounded really good and it only cost 200
