Has anyone tried to use a MY00 PCM in their MY01 or MY02? I've found that our fleet 00 CC will flat-out smoke my 02 QC off the line. I know the CC has a weight advantage, but mine upon delivery already had the "authorized reprogram" sticker on it and is an absolute dog until the engine gets to about 3K RPM.
In a side-by-side comparison everything seems the same. Injectors, sensors, wiring, etc... The reason behind my madness is not only the lack of performance launching but the number of companies that will flash an 02 PCM.
Let me know what ya'll think.

I have hear of people trying it in order to use the mopar performance PCM. It didn't work.
2001 4.7 5sp 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm TB, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" Z-tube, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat, Electric fan Convertion, HO cams, Robert shaw 180 therm, HO intake manifold.

Crap. I think I'll try it anyway. Worst case I'll fry the PCM from a test mule and get a new one under warranty. You didn't hear that...

The pinout and the internals are different on the '01 PCMs. Won't work I'm afraid.

Just means that somewhere along the way your PCM has received an updated flash, usually via a visit to the dealer. Could be for any number of things. Dodge has issued something like 500+ PCM updates across their product line just since the introduction of OBD-II. It doesn't necessarily indicated anything bad.
