I installed the gibson single cat-back... love it. It sound like a V8 now, but won't make the neighbors want to kill you.

I think it sounds it's best between 2000-4000 rpms as you accellerate. I did notice an increase in HP, but my gibson headers go on thursday, so I hope to see a larger increase soon.

I installed a DynoMax Super Turbo catback on my 97 5.2 V-8. Paid $218 total from Jegs. I like the sound; you can hear it, but it does not drone on the highway. Only problem was that it didn't fit out of the box. The pipe from the converter to muffler was about a foot too long! Wound up installing and uninstalling about three times before it fit right. BTW, the DynoMax Super Turbo is what comes standard on the R/T's.

Dynomax better than the muffler the NHRA Professional use? Dynomax sounds better??? A Turbo muffler??!?!?!

NOw way man! 2 chamber 3" flowmaster all the way baby!!! Nothing sounds or performs like FM's Borla, Dynomax, Gibson nothing sounds like my FM on a V8 or and non-fart car 4 banger for that matter.
WHo cares if the neighbors don't like th noise, are we here to be stealth or make horsepower?

Flowmaster is sh!t. They are cheap, can rust easy and gain only few HP. You are better off sticking with DYNOMAX,GIBSON,MAGNAFLOW. All flowmaster exhaust does is make noise, thats all.

NOT!!
Is that why everyone I know uses them, hmm and I thought they just liked the performance.
Dude, FM out sells all those, let the figures speak, thousands of hot rodders can't be wrong. Ask any old timer or exhaust pro Flowmaster is the way to go.

They dont get gain you much HP, and they are poorly made. My uncle own a FM, he loved it. But he usually replace it every 2-3 years since it rust on him.

I ran flowmaster 40 for 6 months, just wasn't happy with the preformance. I switched to a magnaflow muffler, left the rest of the system the same as I was running with the flowmaster and could't believe the differance in the preformance! the magnaflow has a nice mellow tone with no ressonance in the cab.

flows ARE a sound only muffler, dynomax outflows em. midas performance mufflers outflow dynomax while keeping a good sound(wont wake the neighbors). if you want to flow more than the dynomax AND wake the neighbors midas ravin' is what you want.

I personally prefered DYNOMAX over all of them. They look nice, and have a good deep throaty sound. And did I mention it give you 10HP-20HP boost.
