To anyone with the K&N Cold Air Intake. How do you like it? Does it improve the running of the engine a lot. Or give you that extra HP. Plz let me know..Thanks

Dan, the only thing that the intake improved a lot on my dak was the sound. Now don't get me wrong, it does pull better in the upper rpm's (not much, but a little) and it did add maybe .5 mpg, but by itself it didn't help a tremendous amount. What I am looking forward to though, is having the flow available when I drop a set of cams in this engine. Then I suspect that I will see more gains on the top end than people running just the stock air box.

I paid $277 for it and I took my time installing it and it went on in an hour. The dyno sheet that came with the kit says 7hp increase at 5000rpm on this engine and just a seat of the pants guess is at least that much. Drivability has only improved, Ive had it on for 2 weeks. I just ordered a MBRP split cat-back exhaust today. Stay tuned

Go with the Airaid, way cheaper. Never dynoed mine, the butt dyno shows something though. Quality product, wish that even this one wasn't as expensive as it is.
