hey bob w...I got the exact same setup as you (02 quadcab, 4.7 auto, 3.92 patriot blue---awsemoe color!) I haven't done any engine mods yet, I'm trying to save some money...I was hoping you could tell me which mods you did felt like they actually increased power or mpg, I've been reading besides ho cams a lot of the mods for the 4.7 are basically a waste of money.

Ian,
Taking off the clutch fan will add the most, (fast rev. and more power), K&N drop in filter and the high flow single side Gibson exhausts did the most good. I had a Volant cool air intake on My truck for almost 5,000 miles it did nothing 200.++$ but it did sound good, I really think it runs better with the 42 $ K&N drop in. I put the Jet II chip in the first week I had the truck so I can’t say if it helped any thing (I put one in my old 4.0L ranger and it really added a lot) I don’t think the headers helped or hurt any thing but I’m not sure only had the truck one month when I put them on. I have a 3.55 rear end and am thinking about getting the 3.92 how is the bottom end in your truck with the 3.92.

conig,
KMC clockers 18x8.5 tires Goodyear 295/45/r18

Gibson headers, Gibson Cat-back, Edelbrock IAS shocks, K & N drop in, 180 stat, Jet stage II chip, ARE Lid
