What does everyone think about bodyside mouldings? They are the black plastic strips that run along the bottom 1/4 of the door panels, just below where the 2-tone silver paint starts. They prevent door dings from other people who don't care about their vehicle as much as we cherish our Dak's.
Do they look good or bad? Useful or useless? Common or uncommon? Recommend getting them or forget it?

Get them or prepare to park at very remote spaces.
They do look cheesy on the two tone paint (that's what I have). I think Daks look better all one color. Save $200 and don't get the silver rocker panels.

Something I've been contemplating.... Taking my Dak to Ziebart and having them spray the entire truck with BedLiner Coating... Pros and Cons with doing this, hence my contemplation

I have two tone on my 01 QC, white over silver.
I bought aftermarket silver mouldings, and installed them myself (adhesive Back, cleaned it with alcohol) they don't budge, and look awesome, match my lower panel paint.
I thought the black ones on silver, two tone looked awful.

That's pretty f(&king funny, the whole truck done in bed liner.

If I'm not mistaken, ZBart provides a full lifetime warranty on their spray-on apps. Just think, a paint job guaranteed for life - although cleaning the bird cocka off might be a challenge on that rough surface.

I think they look good on single color trucks, but then think about this: it won't stop shopping carts, etc. I say you just get used to parking far away from civilization like I do :)
