 Subject: Idle problem!

Whenever i put my truck into drive, or when i pull up to a light my truck idles down to like 500 rpms. I do know that my trucks idle should be around 800 rpms. The truck has even died once cause of the low idle. Whats goin on? Please help

I have been having the same problem, and put a code reader on it yesterday. My egr is going out. I am going to replace it next week, and hope it is the only problem. About $100 from Dodge.

Until you get the ERG checked out just turn your idle up to about 1k rpms, will solve the problem
